Xbox Design Lab rolls out new 'Camo' and 'Shadow' options for controllers

One of the virtually underrated bits of the Xbox ecosystem is the Xbox Design Lab, an online tool where y'all tin can customize your own controller in almost whatever way you lot see fit. Over time, Microsoft has gradually added more than options to the configuration menu, but today at Gamescom 2022, information technology announced a couple of fashionable new options that should brand Xbox fans quite happy.

When designing a controller, you can now choose from Camo and Shadow customization options. Previously, these were only available through controllers that Microsoft designed and sold themselves, express the colors bachelor. With their addition to the design lab, however, you can go as crazy as you desire.

To recap, the Camo pattern is just as it sounds, featuring a stylized camouflage that covers the forepart of the controller. The Shadow pattern, meanwhile, gradually fades from a darker color to a lighter on from top to bottom. Both patterns are at present open for custom color combinations on the Xbox Pattern Lab.

Finally, Microsoft has a limited time design called "Sterling Silver Shadow" available through September 30.
